Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are visiting our area, as part of an inspection. They will be looking at arrangements for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

They would like to hear your views about the support that your child receives. You can provide your views by completing an online survey by clicking the link below.

When you click the link you will see 3 different surveys:

• One for children and young people aged 11-25
  
• One for Parents and Carers of children and young people aged 0-25 (also available in easy read format)
  
• One for professionals who work in our area.
  

Your views are important and will help inspectors understand your child’s experience of the SEND arrangements in Barnsley.

The online surveys will close at 9am on 27 January 2026.

If you’re unable to complete the online survey you can collect a paper copy from any of our six Family Hub sites or from the Family Hub information site at Barnsley Market.

All paper copies MUST be returned to a Family Hub by 12 noon on Monday 26th January 2026 to meet the Ofsted deadline.
