Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

CAMHS stands for child and adolescent mental health services. We are the NHS service that offers support and treatment for children and young people, aged up to 18 years old, who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and well-being.

We also support parents, carers and families of these children and young people.

Compass Be

Compass Be Mental Health Support Team (MHST) works with children, young people, and families in education settings in Barnsley. they provide free, confidential support, help and advice for pupils, students and schools for issues related to mental health and emotional wellbeing. Compass Be MHST works directly across all Barnsley secondary schools providing group and one-to-one support for young people.

Early Support Hub: Chilypep HOME

‘HOME (Help with Our Mental ‘Ealth), Barnsley is Chilypep’s early support hub for young people aged 11 – 25 from Barnsley who have identified they are struggling with their mental health. HOME runs a wellbeing programme including groups, 1-2-1 support, counselling and workshops. If you think you need some mental health or emotional wellbeing support complete the referral form or find out more by visiting the website.
