How can I have my voice heard as an individual Parent Carer?

Alongside the service specific ways to have your say, (such as surveys hosted on the Local Offer here), there are many regular chances to learn how you can be part of shaping our local area.

To find out about these you can:

  • 👩‍🦰  Ask your SENCO in school if there is a school SEND event that the participation team are attending.
  • 👍 Follow our Barnsley SEND Co-production Facebook page to be kept up to date with opportunities to have your say and to find out where the team will be out and about.
  • ☕ Attend one of our SEND Participation Community Drop-Ins that take place in different venues across the area every month. You can find information about these drop in sessions on the Co-production, get involved and have your say page here
  • 📅  Attend our Monthly Central Participation Drop in on the 3rd Wednesday of every month 10am-12noon at the Ozone, Barnsley Football Club.
  • 📧 Contact the SEND Participation Team on SENDWorkingTogether@barnsley.gov.uk or call the SEND Participation Assistant on 07733314775
