Join a local group

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, why not go a breastfeeding group?

Some mums and babies get the hang of breastfeeding straight away. However, some may take a little more time. Joining a group may help you get off to a good start.

Antenatal Breastfeeding discussion group

If you are more than 24 weeks pregnant, join the Barnsley Infant Feeding Team antenatal discussion group with other soon to be parents to talk about breastfeeding.

Barnsley Infant Feeding Team Weekly Group

0-19 Public Health Nursing Service, Infant Feeding Team facilitate a breastfeeding group every Wednesday, at Library @ the Lightbox, 9:30am – 10:30am. The group is on the first floor and is a drop in session, no booking required.
Come along to get support before you have your baby, or after they arrive. Partners and birthing partners are welcome. A member of the team is there to chat through any questions or concerns that you may have. It also gives mothers the opportunity to gain confidence when feeding out and about and chat to other breastfeeding mums. 







La Leche League

Come along to Barnsley's Le Leche League Group. Meet other mums and enjoy a chat about breastfeeding, meetings are free to attend, however, a small donation is welcome.
