Different Education & Training Providers

When you finish Secondary Scchool there are lots of good choices for education and training in or around Barnsley.

These options include colleges, specialist colleges for those with SEN and online programs.
You should speak to your TIAG advisor to learn more about these options.


It's usually better to attend a local Education or Training provider or online programme because:
  • They are close to where you live
  • They offer good quality education
  • They have existing link with Barnsley Council, the EHC Team, and other professionals that may be working with you.
If these preferred options don't meet your needs, Barnsley Council will try to find an alternative. Your EHC Coordinator and/or TIAG advisor can help with this discussion.
