Breastfeeding Helplines

Sometimes you might require help and support during the night, or at other times when it’s harder to speak to someone There are lots of helplines available which are open during the night and at weekends.

National Breastfeeding Helpline

Ring 0300 100 0212 from 9.30 am-9.30 pm every single day of the year, including bank holidays.

If you are unable to get through to a volunteer the first time, you can leave a message (as long as your question isn’t urgent) and one of the team will call you back within 24 hours.

National Breastfeeding Helpline in Polish

Ring 0300 100 0212, press 2 for support from a Polish-speaking volunteer.

National Childbirth Trust (NCT)

Ring 0300 330 0700 is open every day, from 8 am to midnight. 

Association of Breastfeeding Mothers

Ring 0300 330 5453 lines are open 9.30 am -10.30 pm every day of the year.

The Breastfeeding Network supporter line in Bengali and Sylheti

Breastfeeding support is available for Bengali and Sylheti speakers on 0300 456 2421

If a volunteer is not available to take your call, a message can be left and someone will get back to you. Lines are open 9:30 am to 9:30 pm, 7 days a week.

La Leche League

Ring 0345 1202918 open from 8 am to 11 pm, 365 days a year
