Worsbrough Mill Harvest Mice Trail

The enchanting world of the harvest mouse.
This special trail is designed for families and nature enthusiasts to learn about these fascinating creatures and their habitat.

Can you find all eight harvest mice hidden around the mill grounds? Each mouse comes with its own fascinating facts, making this a fun and informative activity for all ages. While you're on the trail, keep an eye out for the diverse bird species that call Worsbrough Mill Country Park home.

Free activity, takes place during museum opening hours.

🚂 Come and see the Great Engine in action!
It’s the oldest steam engine still in its original place anywhere in the world!
It was built by Thomas Newcomen to help pump water out of coal mines.
This amazing invention was the first working engine ever made!
🧠 Learn how it worked and hear its story at Elsecar.
🕐 The tour lasts 1 hour.
⚠️ Please note: there are two narrow staircases and a deep step at the entrance.
