Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) is designed for parents and led by parents, making it friendly, relatable and supportive.
The programme brings together parents’ own experiences with trusted guidance and support from professionals, along with training and supervision to help you feel confident in your role.
What we’re looking for
- Parents, carers, or people with parenting experience who want to support other families.
- Friendly, reliable people who are good listeners and enjoy working with others.
- Caring, non‑judgemental, and able to encourage families when they need it most.
- Happy to learn new skills and understand the importance of confidentiality.
Do I need qualifications?
No formal qualifications are needed – just lived parenting experience and a positive attitude.
The programme supports parents of children from birth to the teenage years, including specialist support for autistic children and parenting together.
An enhanced DBS check and two references are required.
