Support is available to help parents with the cost of childcare, making it easier for parents with childcare responsibilities to move into or take on more paid work.

15 hours childcare for all families in England
For children aged 3 to 4 Years.
30 hours childcare
For children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Eligible working families can apply for 30 hours of childcare to use from the term after their child turns 9 months until they reach school age.
15 hours for 2 year olds receiving support
For children aged 2 years.
Your 2-year-old can get funded early learning if you live in England and receive some additional forms of support.
Universal Credit Childcare
If you’re working and get Universal Credit, and you have children under 17, you can get help with childcare costs. You might be able to claim back up to 85% of what you spend. If you’re starting a new job or working more hours, you could get help to pay for childcare upfront.
Tax-Free Childcare
If you work (including if you are self-employed) and live in the UK, you can get help with childcare costs for children aged 0 to 11 (or up to 16 if your child is disabled).
